Box office: Aamir Khan’s Dangal crosses 1500 crores at the worldwide box office 

Just a couple of days back we had reported that the Nitesh Tiwari directed film Dangal starring Aamir Khan was well on its way to surpass the Rs. 1500 crore mark at the worldwide box office. In fact the film which released in China a couple of weeks ago has been enjoying a stellar run at the box office, raking in the moolah. 



After raking in Rs. 1471 cr globally till Sunday, Dangal that has continued to hold strong in the Chinese market has now managed to breach the Rs. 1500 cr mark with collections being pegged at a staggering Rs. 1526 cr. The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal managed to achieve this new benchmark with Rs. 716 cr coming in from the domestic and overseas markets (excluding Taiwan and China), Rs. 32.34 cr from the Taiwan box office and Rs. 777.83 cr coming in from the Chinese market.

With this Dangal has now become the second Indian film to achieve this benchmark of collecting well over Rs. 1500 cr, the first being the second part in the epic Baahubali saga tiled Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion.

Experience Baahubali 2 in 4k resolution at Kerala capital for an entire year.


SS Rajamouli's fantasy thriller Baahubali 2 has raked in approximately Rs. 57 crore at the Kerala box office within three weeks of theatrical run.

SS Rajamouli's fantasy thriller Baahubali: The Conclusion (Baahubali 2) is leaving no stone unturned as it sweeps away number of records in becoming the biggest grossing cinema ever made in India. The Prabhas, Anushka Shetty-starrer has been garnering stupendous response from the audience, who tag it to be a movie the country can always be proud of. 



Now, the latest we hear is that the thriller, which has ranked in approximately Rs. 57 crore at the Kerala box office within three weeks of theatrical run, will continue its screening in a theatre in the state for one year. Ariesplex SL Cinemas in Thiruvananthapuram will have at least one show dedicated for Baahubali 2 for a year considering the huge demand of the audience, who have been flooding from even other states to experience the movie in 4K resolution wide screen.

Baahubali-2 manages to collect Rs 1,500 crore worldwide!


Riding high on the response from fans, Rajamouli's Baahubali-2 has crossed the Rs 1,500 crore benchmark recently.

With this, the movie has become the first Indian movie to achieve this feat.


The movie has collected about Rs 1,227 crore in India and another Rs 275 crore abroad at the end of its three week theatrical run. Now all eyes are on if it will cross Rs 2,000 crore.


Meanwhile, the buzz is that Rajamouli is planning a third part of the magnum opus. But, it may not feature any VFX effects. Is he planning a social drama? That's the big question now.

Reema Lagoo's Co-Star Aamir Khan Visits Her Family

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan rushed to Actress Reema Lagoo's Mumbai residence soon after the news of her death reached the 51-year-old actor. Reema Lagoo, 59, died on Thursday due to cardiac arrest. Aamir co-starred with Reema Lagoo in his Bollywood debut Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and later in Rangeela. "This is very tragic, we are still in shock. She had no major ailment that we knew about. May she rest in peace," Aamir Khan told reporters. Reema Lagoo's son-in-law, Swapnil Rao, told news agency PTI: "She was complaining of chest pain so we took her to hospital around 1 am. She passed away due to a heart attack around 3.15 am. She was perfectly fine and had no health issues...so it is really shocking for all us that she is no more with us."



Reema Lagoo starred in several Bollywood and Marathi films. She's also remembered for her role in television shows like Tu Tu Main Main and Shrimaan Shrimati. In Bollywood, Reema Lagoo worked with production houses like Rajshri and co-starred with top stars like Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt.


Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit (who played the role of Reema Lagoo's daughter in Hum Aapke Hai Koun! ) and Priyanka Chopra shared messages of condolences on Twitter.

Baahubali 2 becomes fastest film to reach 100 cr in Tamil Nadu, makes 50 cr in Kerala

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 grossing over  Rs 1000cr globally, has been trending for some time. Now the latest in the Baahubali world is that it has grossed over Rs 100cr from Tamil Nadu and Rs 50crore from Kerala.



In Tamil Nadu Baahubali 2 became the second film after Rajinikanth’s Endhiran (2010) to gross Rs 100.55cr in 16 days, with a net of Rs 81.50cr and a share of Rs 52cr.

In  Kerala Baahubali 2 has become the fastest Rs 50 cr plus grosser in 15 days. The Film has grossed Rs 51.50 cr, with a net of Rs 41 cr and a share of Rs 25 cr. Global United Media, the distributors of Baahubali 2 is said to have purchased Kerala theatricals at a record Rs 10.5 cr and already the film has made Rs 25 cr. The only other film which has grossed more in Kerala is Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan for which exact numbers are not available, though producers claim it has grossed worldwide more than Rs 100 Cr.
